PARISH ASSEMBLY WAS MARCH 7TH!:  Meetings are taking place to advance discussions of a Parish merger here in Easthampton. All three parishes are to be merged. The Bishop has given a mandate to come up with a plan and soon. Regardless of outcomes, each of our parishes will be closing and a new parish will be established with a new name and pastor.

As sad as that be for us, we need to be planning as to how best to respectfully honor and celebrate IC's history and heritage through liturgical, social and historical events. A Parish Assembly to plan what the parishioners want was held on March 7th, attended by one hundred parishioners hosted by the Pastoral Council. The Council now has all the suggestions and committees are forming to implement what we can. If you want to help and didn't sign up yet, contact the office. The time is coming when we need to celebrate and honor all that IC Parish has meant to all of us. Thanks to all who so thoughtfully worked to start the process.
